The International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement, the world's largest independent humanitarian organisation made up of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC), the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies and 190 National Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies around the world and guided by its Fundamental principles: humanity, impartiality, neutrality, independence, voluntary service, unity and universality.

 This local presence and community-based approach, coupled with the Movement's global outreach, resources and know-how, give the Red Cross and Red Crescent a distinct advantage when it comes to dealing with today's complex humanitarian challenges.

Within the project, five Red Cross national societies are involved: Austrian Red Cross (Coordinator),Bulgarian Red Cross, Croatian Red Cross, French Red Cross and German red cross
